  • How effective is herbal medicine?

Herbal medicine is very effective.

Because it is a gentle complementary medicine (compared to conventional drugs or medicines that may be prescribed by your doctor), the key is persistence.  Often herbal remedies are required to be taken several times a day and for several days or weeks at a time.

  • Can I take herbal medicine whilst taking medicine prescribed by my doctor?

Yes in some cases. BUT you must discuss this with your medical herbalist first. If you are on prescribed medication you can go through your medicines and conditions in detail in a private consultation with Oswestry Herbalist, Louise.    

  • Can I use herbal medicine to Treat Arthritis?

  • Can I use herbal medicine to help with symptoms of menopause?

  • How do I take herbal medicine?

Herbal medicine is often on a liquid tincture where a dose can be added to water.  It can also be in the form of a herbal tea, supplement, cream or lotion. Ask your Oswestry Herbalist.

  • Can I give herbal remedies to my baby?

Yes – herbal medicine is suitable for all ages from the young to the old.  Always speak to your local Oswestry herbalist, Louise, before administering any herbal remedies to a baby. Depending on whether or no they are being breastfed. Herbs in the bath work well for babies too. 

  • Can herbal remedies be used for animals?
